P-EBT FAQ

Pandemic-EBT cards are currently being processed and mailed now for the fall semester. P-EBT is a nutrition relief program through the Family and Social Services Administration designed to give food aid to families during the public health emergency. If you have recently relocated, please contact your child’s school with your change in address. Any questions, contact LCSC Food Service Director, Sarah Erb, at serb@lburg.k12.in.us or 812-537-7213.

Are my students eligible for P-EBT? All students who have been approved for free or reduced priced lunches at LCSC are eligible to receive P-EBT.  Even though ALL students are currently receiving free meals, households must still apply for free and reduced priced benefits to be eligible for P-EBT.  Not sure if your students were approved for free and reduced? Contact LCSC Food Service Director, Sarah Erb, at serb@lburg.k12.in.us or 812-537-7213.

How much can my student receive in P-EBT? The amount of money your child may receive in P-EBT benefits depends on eligible days and if your student has been qualified for free and reduced priced lunches. Even though ALL students are currently eating for free, free and reduced priced benefits may qualify you for P-EBT.

Benefit amount is determined by the school based upon the number of days your student participated in virtual learning, was in quarantine, or was out of school due to COVID-19 illness. Your student may be eligible for up to $6.82 for each one of the days listed above.

Will each of my students receive the same amount of P-EBT? No. Student eligibility is calculated based on the number of educational days missed by each student. Each eligible student will receive a new P-EBT card for the February issuance.
