🐯🧡🖤 LCSC Families: Synchronous eLearning Update! 💻📚

Lawrenceburg Community Schools has established a Synchronous eLearning Plan for Emergency Closure Days (i.e., inclement weather) during the 2026–2027 school year.

🏫 Students will participate in LIVE instruction through Google Meet, allowing them to connect with teachers and classmates from home!

📅 Grades K–5: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

💻 Grades 6–12: Follow the scheduled class periods.

📌 Please review the attached graphic for schedules, expectations, and additional details.

Started off our Monday with some Beat the Bell winners! Today we drew lucky number 22! Students who were at school on time and are number 22 in their classes received a prize. Thanks for being at school on time!

Mrs. Wintz’s friends have been busy learning in the classroom and attending their very first field trip to the pumpkin patch! 🎃 Students have been working hard to identify letter sounds and blend them together to make words. We are becoming amazing readers! We have also been learning about the five senses in our Knowledge unit and are becoming five-senses experts. During our first field trip to the pumpkin patch, we had the perfect opportunity to put our learning to the test by using all five senses! What a fun week of learning and exploring!

Today we had Fire Safety Presentations from the Lawrenceburg Fire Department. Firefighters discussed how to stop, drop, and roll and had students demonstrate. They also discussed the importance of keeping your door shut when you sleep to prevent smoke from entering your room in the case of a fire. Lastly, they showed our students the gear they wear in case of a fire, so that students wouldn’t be scared. Thanks for coming to visit LPS!

Congratulations to our September Principal’s Pride members! Each month teachers select one student from their classes that portrays the High 5 Expectations. These students are kind, safe, responsible, respectful, and peaceful. We are so proud of them!

Today we had our Class Dojo reward parties for our K-2 students. Students who had 80% or higher on their dojo percentage were rewarded with a popsicle and an extra recess. We love celebrating positive behavior!

🏛️🏅 Let the Games Begin! 🏅🏛️

Our 2nd graders wrapped up their Knowledge Unit on Ancient Greece in a fun and memorable way! After learning about the history, culture, people, and traditions of Ancient Greece, we celebrated with our very own Olympic Games! 🇬🇷

Students enjoyed participating in a variety of Olympic-inspired events and getting a taste of what the ancient games may have been like. It was the perfect way to bring their learning to life and celebrate the end of a fantastic unit! 🏆✨
