Mission Statement

Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation's Mission is to provide academic excellence to all students, preparing them for post secondary opportunities in the changing global economy. From full-day kindergarten to rigorous academic courses at the high school, staff are dedicated to see that learning occurs in a safe, nurturing instructional environment that is focused on the whole child.

 *** Announcement ***

The Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation will increase the student school day
in K-12 by 30 minutes beginning in August, 2011. This increase is a result of additional
mandates directed by the State and the district's desire for additional time for
remediation, enrichment, and advisory. It is believed that the increased instructional
time will be beneficial to students as LCSC works to improve academic achievement at
all grade levels, increase academic rigor,
and better prepare students for higher level coursework.
The starting time for the student day at GMS and LHS will be 7:45 and end at 3:05. The
starting time for the student day at LPS and CES will be 8:35 and end at 3:40.

Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation (LCSC) partners with the Indiana Student Achievement Institute (InSAI)

During the 2009-2010 school year, LCSC, as well as each individual school in the corporation, began a partnership with InSAI (www.asainstitute.org). The goal of that partnership is to increase student achievement throughout the corporation. District/school vision and mission statements were developed, data analyzed, targets set, areas of concern discussed, and strategies identified that were incorporated into a plan of action that will reduce barriers to learning and increase the capacity for our students to grow academically. The schools are implementing, reviewing and revising their plans through this continuous school improvment process. Each school's improvement plan can be found under the "Schools" tab on the left of this screen. LCSC encourages active participation from members of the community to work with us to improve our schools and help our students to be more successful. Please contact a school within the corporation with which you would like to be involved through community council meetings.
